R.I.P. Joan Rivers
June 8, 1933 – September 4, 2014.
Flashback Friday is going out to Joan Rivers and her appearance with Miss Piggy on The Muppets film The Muppets Take Manhattan, from back in my day. The Muppets delivered all the stars back in the 70s & 80s and was my introduction to the idea of ‘show business’ as a kid and I loved this film!
I also remember Joan and her manic red carpet interviews at various awards shows; which I watched closely – being some of the only glimpses that audiences caught of 80s stars ‘out of character’. Joan was my link to Hollywood.
RIP Joan, one sassy and often over the top lady!
