Editor’s Note: Immediately it’s nice to see Mark Gatiss opening the trailer as a Talk Show host giving us some exposition—I’m a fan of Mark’s from his League of Gentlemen days (a truly warped British Sitcom with a spooky edge). The art direction, sets, and just the 60s richness of everything is so visually compelling. It feels like a live-action The Incredibles movie.

Gosh, this is a deeply attractive cast! You’ve got Joseph Quinn stealing the scene next to Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby—no small feat for ‘Eddie Munson’! Our villain, Silver Surfer played by Julia Garner, is spine-tinglingly authoritative. Fans of Ozark will recognise her signature intensity. This whole thing is reminding me of Zack Snyder’s Watchmen. By the time the trailer hits its crescendo—yeah, I’m fully on board. This is the most excited I’ve been for a Marvel Studios film in a while, definitely since seeing Marvel Studios Avengers Endgame in cinemas. FAAAHHHNNNNTTTAASSSSTTTIICCCC FOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRR. Let’s go!
